Visa- Versa

I don't know what it is, but these people were so laid back about visas.

I told them that, yes, I did need a visa because I was staying over 90 days. They said naaah, fageddaboutit! But in french. However, what they failed to take into account is that the new president, as of last year, has been cracking down on immigration laws. The last thing I want as I go to leave for the amazing and completely unfamiliar land of Peru is to be stuck in Paris, handcuffed in an air port.

Well, maybe there won't be handcuffs. That's the picture I get in my mind.

Finally, we've worked it out that I will be starting the 1st of June, ending the 24th of August. Perfect! I am getting very excited but also very nervous. Regardless, it's going to happen!

Student teaching is going so well. I absolutely adore my kids, and almost start to cry when I think of leaving them. They are all so special, and have so much potential! I just hope that the city and the circumstances of poverty don't get to them. I'm going to miss them a lot!

However, I'm on to bigger and better things (hopefully... I would hate the next few years to be dull).

Yo ho, it's a blogger's life for me.

So, I decided to creat a blog today to share all of my travels with my friends. I don't know how well I'll keep up with it, or how many will actually read it, but we'll see!
